Nature has been deeply ingrained in my own sense of being since I was a child, hence, botanic drawings and landscapes were a natural beginning. As I progress I have gravitated towards more abstract interpretive pieces still motivated by nature, but also influenced by events or emotions and at times social issues.

I believe being an artist is an ongoing journey of discovery. I am continually learning, experimenting, and challenging myself to see familiar subjects in new ways. Whether working on a detailed colored pencil drawing or exploring a more expressive approach in another medium, I strive to create artwork that invites viewers to pause, look a little closer, and find something that speaks to them personally.
