 Artist Bio

I garden large areas of land; I read all types of literature, I travel and visit museums whenever I have the opportunity; I enjoy outdoor activities, hiking being a favorite and am an active community volunteer. I believe a full and involved life provides me with diverse experiences and wide ranging knowledge that influences my artistic vision and shapes my world view.

Working as a fine artist I have  received many honors and awards, but I am especially proud of achieving my Signature status in the Colored Pencil Society of America in 2009 and receiving my five year Merit pin in 2017. I have been invited to participate in numerous juried exhibitions at the Dennos Museum, the Arc Gallery, the Women’s Works Show, the Northwest Michigan Regional Show and the Colored Pencil Society International Exhibition, among others. I also exhibit at non-juried shows across the Midwest region and work to widen my area of exposure and representation.

Currently I am represented by Mullaly’s 128 Studio and Gallery in Elk Rapids, MI and Bella Galleria in Traverse City, MI. I maintain an active role in the local District Chapter of the Colored Pencil Society and hold memberships at several art organizations including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Dennos Museum Center, Crooked Tree Arts Center, Glen Arbor Art Center, the DuPage Art League and the Naperville Art League
