Graduating from Northern Illinois with a BFA in Graphic Design I followed several career paths in graphic and landscape design before I dedicated myself to creating fine art. Through work years, family years and now retirement, I pursued interests in gardening, outdoor activities, literature and art. These interests have taken me on many exciting vacations with given me experiences that have had an undeniable influence on my art and how I view the world.
I received many honors and awards over the last seventeen years and was honored with my Signature status in the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA) in 2009 and my five year Merit Pin in 2017. I have participated in one-person shows and group exhibitions including those at: The Dennos Museum Center, The CPSA International Show, Northwest Michigan Regional Show, and the Women’s Works Show, among others. I continue to show in Juried and Non-juried exhibitions across the Mid-West region and I work to further my representation and widen my area of exhibition.
Currently I am represented by Mullaly’s 128 Studio and Gallery in Elk Rapids, MI and Bella Galleria in Traverse City, MI and at the Art & Glass Studio in Wheaton, IL. I continue to be active in the local District Chapter of CPSA and in several local Art Leagues and maintain art memberships in the Art Institute of Chicago, the Dennos Museum Center, Crooked Tree Arts Center, Glen Arbor Art Center, The Colored Pencil Society of America, the Du Page Art League and the Naperville Art League.
